The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parantainen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lawler slaps away a takedown attempt from Parantainen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Parantainen.
Lawler misses with a straight left.
Lawler throws a right and a left that Parantainen avoids nicely.
Parantainen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Parantainen looks gassed!
Lawler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Parantainen circles away quickly and effectively.
Parantainen fails with the takedown.
Bob Lawler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Parantainen.
Lawler throws a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lawler drops Parantainen with a beautiful combination! Parantainen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lawler is looking for the KO!
It looks like Ray Parantainen has been cut.
Lawler lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Parantainen is looking to close the distance but Lawler sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Parantainen crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Parantainen is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
