The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hester shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hester showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Damicha looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Hester missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Hester wants to stand but Damicha has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Damicha trying to hold on to Hester's head to control him but Hester postures up.
Hester really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Damicha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Damicha is trying to get back to full guard.
Hester stands up and beckons Damicha to join him on the feet.
MC Hester seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Damicha with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hester counters with a thumping low kick.
Damicha avoids a kick to the body.
Hester throws a leg kick but Damicha sees it coming and moves out of range.
Damicha is looking to clinch.

Damicha swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Damicha clinches but Hester breaks the clinch
and Hester connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hester rushes Damicha and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hester can't break the clinch.
Damicha tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hester just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hester prevents Damicha from breaking the clinch.
Hester is stalling here.
Damicha goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hester prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daisan Damicha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Damicha fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Damicha manages to pull guard.
Hester throws a big right hand that misses.

Hester tries to stand and escape but Damicha actually recovers to full guard.

Hester looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Damicha is fending him off so far but Hester persists. Nope, Damicha circles away and we're back to standing.
Hester tries to score with a low kick but Damicha moves his leg out of the way.
Horrible takedown by Damicha or perhaps it was just good defense by Hester which made him look bad.
Damicha drops his hands momentarily and Hester takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Damicha shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Damicha not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Hester wants to stand and escape but Damicha is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hester can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Damicha stopping the sweep attempt from Hester.
Hester wants to stand and escape but Damicha is having none of it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hester clinches with his opponent.
Hester tries to score a body lock takedown but Damicha shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Damicha stalling in the clinch but Hester improves position.
Damicha has Hester pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hester manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Hester escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hester moves into range and clinches up with Damicha.
Hester breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Damicha shoots in but Hester avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hester throws a one two combo.
Damicha misses with a series of wild punches.
Nice takedown defense from Damicha. No joy for Hester on that attempt.
Hester tries to keep at a distance but Damicha has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hester breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hester is looking to score with low kicks.
Hester lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Daisan Damicha has been cut.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Hester! Damicha is backing up but he can't get away as Hester lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Damicha and ends the fight. Great knockout.
