Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil DeBlunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergeant Peppers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeBlunt comes into the arena with Westside Connection - Bow Down blaring out of the sound system. Peppers has chosen Lip Gloss and Black--as made famous by Atreyu as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil DeBlunt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sergeant Peppers! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peppers gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A swing and a miss from DeBlunt. Nice uppercut lands for Peppers. That snapped DeBlunt's head back.
It looks like Phil DeBlunt has been cut. Peppers looks to throw the jab but DeBlunt is out of range. DeBlunt defending well as Peppers loads up on a big left hand. DeBlunt tests Peppers's chin there with a solid looking shot. DeBlunt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
DeBlunt is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! DeBlunt swings for the body but Peppers moves out of range.
A slow jab from Peppers misses its intended target. Peppers closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Peppers tries to move to mount but DeBlunt blocks the move with his legs. DeBlunt is pushing Peppers's head away, looking to escape. Peppers manages to hold on to the position though. Peppers trying to control the action but DeBlunt is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeBlunt is looking to get back to his feet here but Peppers is keeping cool and he's managed to take DeBlunt's back. Will Peppers go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peppers looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
DeBlunt won't enjoy being in this position. Peppers looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - DeBlunt is tapping - it's over boys! Peppers picks up the submission victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sergeant Peppers!
