0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, RAMPAGE JACKSON! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andreas Schankelies! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schankelies changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. JACKSON looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. JACKSON looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Schankelies looks up at the clock and then as JACKSON takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Schankelies smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
JACKSON prevents Schankelies from improving position. Schankelies cracks JACKSON with a big right hand but JACKSON just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Schankelies stands up and beckons JACKSON to his feet. A head kick misses from Schankelies. Schankelies clinches with his opponent.
Schankelies jumps guard.
Schankelies pulls JACKSON in close to prevent any damage. Schankelies manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Schankelies is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, JACKSON has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schankelies controlling the pace for now. JACKSON is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Schankelies with good strikes from the mount here! A nice elbow there by Schankelies.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Schankelies looking to control and managing it successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schankelies looking for a guillotine from mount but JACKSON is having none of it. Schankelies has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. JACKSON is trying desperately to improve position. Schankelies working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. JACKSON wants to control but Schankelies is having none of it. JACKSON might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. JACKSON is desperately trying to improve his position but Schankelies has a good base and remains in mount. Schankelies trying to control but JACKSON is having none of it. JACKSON regains half guard. Schankelies with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Schankelies working JACKSON over with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schankelies stands up from half guard. JACKSON with a poor takedown and Schankelies counters with a nice body kick. Schankelies shoots in but JACKSON avoids the takedown attempt easily. Schankelies takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Schankelies moves into the clinch. JACKSON is trying to maintain a safe position but Schankelies gets an underhook and turns JACKSON into the cage. Schankelies jumps into guard, dragging JACKSON to the mat.
JACKSON looking to sit in guard and control but Schankelies gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Schankelies passes JACKSON's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Schankelies lands a nice short elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andreas Schankelies dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Schankelies tries to clinch but JACKSON moves out of range. Schankelies throws a body kick that misses. RAMPAGE JACKSON is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Schankelies is looking to clinch but JACKSON is avoiding it.
JACKSON clinches but Schankelies breaks the clinch and Schankelies holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Schankelies wants to break free but JACKSON has control.
The referee calls for Schankelies to work.
Schankelies has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. JACKSON avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Schankelies wants to break the clinch but can't.
Schankelies pulls JACKSON into guard.
JACKSON has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. JACKSON being controlled here momentarily. Schankelies's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Schankelies trying to control the position here. Schankelies lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for JACKSON! Schankelies controlling from the full mount. Schankelies with shots to the head and body - JACKSON looks very uncomfortable down there. Andreas Schankelies has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schankelies landing punches. Schankelies fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Schankelies controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Andreas Schankelies just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Schankelies closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on JACKSON's face as Schankelies controls the position. Schankelies stands up and we're back to a striking position. Schankelies instigates a clinch. Schankelies wants a takedown but no success here.
Schankelies is pressed up against the cage. JACKSON has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Schankelies down to the mat. Schankelies avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. JACKSON bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Schankelies explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Schankelies doesn't succeed with the takedown and JACKSON counters with a big head kick but Schankelies shrugs it off. RAMPAGE JACKSON has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andreas Schankelies. Schankelies avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Schankelies tries to grapple but his opponent circles and JACKSON counters with a thumping low kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Schankelies closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
JACKSON is in trouble now - Schankelies has advanced to mount! Schankelies controlling the position easily from mount. Schankelies working for a submission but JACKSON is keeping him at bay. Schankelies is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, JACKSON has managed to escape the submission attempt.
RAMPAGE JACKSON has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Schankelies wants to finish this one by submission but JACKSON is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Schankelies.
And that's the end of the fight! Andreas Schankelies comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Schankelies has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
