Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Didell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Layman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Larry Layman was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chuck Didell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Larry Layman! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Didell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Layman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Didell tries to avoid it but Layman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Didell to the ground. Didell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Layman ducks right into an uppercut from Didell. Layman on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Nice sprawl there from Didell as Layman shoots in. Layman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Didell.
Layman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Didell sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Chuck Didell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Layman. Didell clinches up against the cage. Didell controlling the action here for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Didell takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Chuck Didell. Didell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Chuck Didell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Didell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Layman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Didell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Layman somewhat. Didell throws a right hand that Layman ducks under and follows up with a left that Layman also avoids with ease. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Layman is defended easily by Didell. Didell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Didell wants it to stay on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Layman walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Layman has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Layman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Didell was covering up waiting for the punch and Layman finishes the takedown easily into guard. Layman looking to pass the guard. Layman prevents Didell from getting back to his feet. Layman trying to control but Didell is working from the bottom. Didell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Didell tries to get out of the position. Layman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Didell is keeping the position for now. Layman stops Didell from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Didell is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Layman seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Didell has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Layman is looking to reverse the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Didell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Didell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Layman gets slowly back to his feet. Didell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Layman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Chuck Didell showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Didell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
