Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Esmael Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ali's entrance music is Toxicity. A fine choice. Ruas has chosen Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Marco Ruas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marco Ruas!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruas scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Esmael Ali has been cut.
Ali decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ruas manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Ruas working for a triangle but Ali defends it easily.
Ali drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ruas dives on top into guard.
Ali knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ruas on the ground.

Ali manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ruas manages to get himself to full guard.
Ali postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ruas is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ali, into his guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ruas lands a nice short elbow.

Ruas is nestled in close to Ali, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ali is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ruas pulls his head out easily.

Ruas lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ruas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ali might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ruas postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Ali badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Ruas around the waist but Ruas pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Ruas is the winner by TKO! Ruas jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
