Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rich Weeds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bob Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, bob Johnson! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Johnson successfully pulls guard.
Johnson is working an open guard so Weeds takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Weeds keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rich Weeds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson moves out of range as Weeds throws a body kick.
Weeds fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Weeds persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Weeds tries to stand but can't do so whilst Johnson controls his leg. Weeds keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Johnson kicks Weeds off and gets back to his feet. Weeds really is a fat lump. Weeds closes the distance looking to clinch and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Weeds's guard now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Weeds gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weeds gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Weeds wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown. Weeds fights it but they end up in guard. Weeds pushes Johnson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Weeds is defended easily by Johnson. Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Weeds sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Weeds.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weeds but Weeds pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rich Weeds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of bob Johnson. Weeds closes the distance looking to clinch and Johnson counters by clinching up. Weeds creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Weeds tries for a takedown. No joy.
Weeds tries to land knees in the clinch but Johnson avoids the damage to the body. Weeds is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Johnson can't get the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weeds tries to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling the position. Johnson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Weeds throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Weeds tries to pull guard but Johnson holds him up against the cage and eventually Weeds drops back down to his feet.
Johnson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Weeds gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Johnson jumps guard but Weeds stands there with Johnson around his waist. Johnson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Johnson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Weeds pushes off an throws an elbow but Johnson leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Weeds wants to get back to striking at distance but Johnson won't allow it.
Weeds fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Johnson wants a takedown.
Weeds looking for a takedown. Johnson decides to pull guard. Weeds decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Weeds closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side and Johnson counters with a takedown into side control. Weeds is breathing heavily. Weeds trying to remain calm as Johnson controls from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
bob Johnson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Weeds wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side and Johnson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Johnson. Johnson won't allow Weeds to get back to his feet. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Weeds is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weeds swivels though and keeps the full guard. Johnson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Weeds has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Johnson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Weeds is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Johnson, into his guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weeds wanted to stand there but Johnson had control of the position. Weeds trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. Johnson is trying to keep Weeds in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Weeds wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Johnson wants to stand and escape but Weeds is having none of it. Johnson trying to control the position.
Weeds gets to his feet - Johnson follows without any prompting. Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Weeds pushes Johnson off looking to stand but Johnson dives back in and keeps control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weeds is looking to improve his position.
Weeds blocking the ground and pound attempt from Johnson. Johnson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Weeds is just riding it out for now. Johnson eventually gives up the hold. Weeds might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Johnson prevents Weeds from standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Weeds is refusing to be controlled, as Johnson sits in half guard. Johnson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Johnson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Weeds sees it coming and defends easily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Weeds closes the distance looking to clinch and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown. Weeds fights it but they end up in guard. bob Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far. Weeds can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Johnson controls the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
bob Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Weeds counters with a straight right hand. Johnson scores with a takedown into Weeds's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Weeds is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Weeds had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Johnson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Weeds Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Johnson's back instead. Johnson looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Johnson covering up well and avoiding damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Weeds struggling to keep hold of the position.
Weeds patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Weeds has good solid back control here. Weeds is trying to stick to Johnson's back but Johnson is turning into Weeds. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Weeds's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Johnson. Weeds keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Weeds slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard. Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Weeds wants to get back to his feet. Johnson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Weeds keeping hold of Johnson's head, controlling as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Weeds sees it coming and defends easily. Weeds tries to get to full guard but Johnson has control of the leg. Johnson trying to mount his opponent but Weeds defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Weeds actively working from the bottom here. Johnson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Weeds looks like he's trying to stand up.
Johnson tries to stand and escape but Weeds is controlling the position. Rich Weeds has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! bob Johnson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Johnson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! bob Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Johnson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
