The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shagson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? stevens is fending him off so far but Shagson persists. Nope, stevens circles away and we're back to standing.
chris stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shagson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Shagson misses with the combination.
Shagson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from stevens.
stevens takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Shagson throws a body punch but stevens moves out of range.
Shagson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

letting Shagson counter with a right hand.
Shagson slips a jab from stevens.
stevens lands a left and a right that send Shagson crashing to the mat, dazed. stevens thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Shagson looks to land a combination. stevens sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Shagson works stevens's body with a nice hook.
Shagson throws a right and a left that stevens avoids nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from stevens misses the target.
stevens throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Shagson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Shagson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Shagson misses with a few strikes there.
Shagson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

A jab lands there for Shagson.
stevens on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Shagson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
stevens throws a left and a right that both miss
and Shagson counters with a straight right hand.
Shagson stalks stevens and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into stevens's face. stevens staggers backwards, shaken.
stevens is rocked!
stevens seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Shagson shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! stevens is backing up but Shagson catches him with a final right hook that drops him! stevens covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Shagson Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Quinton Shagson!
