Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Holliday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Card Holder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holliday comes to the cage accompanied by Break Stuff. The crowd seem to be enjoying Holder's choice of entrance music: Death March. John Holliday could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Card Holder's chin.

3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, John Holliday! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Card Holder! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holder fails with the takedown. Holder throws a jab when Holliday was well out of range. Holder misses with a wild body shot. Holder walks into a jab. Holliday ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Holder misses with a wild body shot. Holliday uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Holder. Holder tries to score a power double leg takedown but Holliday sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Holder somewhat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holder moves out of range of the body kick. Nice body kick there by Holliday.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holder tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holliday was well out of range. Poor timing from Holder. Holder displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Holliday throws out the jab. Holder misses with a body shot.
Holliday lands a nice leg kick that just misses Holder's sensitive parts. Holder throws a shot from downtown. Holliday moves away and avoids it. Holliday looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Holder throws a body punch but Holliday moves out of range. Holliday throws a series of punches but Holder avoids them all with ease. That's two minutes gone in the round. Holliday rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Holder moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Holder throws a left and a right that both miss
and Holliday counters with a thumping low kick. A swing and a miss from Holder. John Holliday is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Holliday displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Holder throws out the jab. Holder will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. John Holliday has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Card Holder. Holder throws a hook but Holliday blocks it. Holliday throws a combination. Holder tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Holder drops his hands momentarily and Holliday takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Holliday lands a jab to Holder's midsection. Holder swings away with a body shot that misses
and Holder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. This has been an exciting period of action! Holliday throws a body kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holder tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Holliday throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Holder throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Holliday sizes up Holder with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Holder misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Holliday.
Holliday scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Holliday throws a head kick but Holder moves out of range.
Holliday wants to slow Holder down by chopping away at his legs. Holliday throws a right hand that Holder ducks under and follows up with a left that Holder also avoids with ease. Holder fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Holliday manages to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holder misses with a looping right. Holder shoots in but Holliday avoids the takedown attempt easily. Holliday lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Holder circles away quickly and effectively. Holder fails with the takedown. Holliday feints and then cracks Holder's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Holder down. Holliday swinging wilding here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Holder fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Holliday manages to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Holliday dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Holliday is looking to land body kicks. Holder throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Holder closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Holliday to the mat! Holliday manages to get full guard. Holliday looking for a guillotine here but Holder defends easily.
Holder drops back looking for a leg! Holliday is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Holliday manages to kick Holder off! Holder jumps back into Holliday's guard. Holder preventing the sweep. Holder throwing strikes but missing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holliday swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Holder is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Holder misses the shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Holliday blocks a jab. Holder takes the fight into the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Holder as Holliday tries to tie him up. Holder tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Holliday avoids a wild elbow strike from Holder. Holliday tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Holder pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Holliday is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Holder is keeping busy. Holliday on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Holder is pushing down on Holliday's leg trying to pass to half guard. Holliday is fighting to maintain full guard but Holder has managed to sneak the leg through. The fighters are battling for position here. Holliday manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Holliday preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Holder preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holder trying to control the position from guard on top but Holliday is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Holder stopping the sweep attempt from Holliday. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holliday has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Holder can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Holliday working for submissions but it's allowed Holder to get to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Holder tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Holder is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Holliday knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Holliday avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Holder. Holliday sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Holder is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Holliday is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Card Holder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Holder ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Holliday moves away. Holder throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Holliday was covering up waiting for the punch and Holder finishes the takedown easily into guard. Holder preventing the sweep. Holder passes easily into side control. Nice work. Holliday is trying to get back to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Holder trying to control the action but Holliday is working from the bottom. Holder is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Holliday is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holder working the ground and pound but Holliday is defending the strikes. Holliday looks to move to half guard but instead Holder has passed into mount! Damn! Holder trying to control but he's not successful this time. Holliday tries to reverse the position but Holder maintains control. Holder goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Holliday turns into him and now he's in Holder's guard.
Holliday passes Holder's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Holliday moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Holder.
Holder is trying to get back to half guard. Holder sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Holder moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Holder keeping full guard, as Holliday tries to pass. Holder manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Holliday. I think Holliday has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
