Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vic Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uwe Hirschmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vega comes to the cage accompanied by Stuck In The Middle With You. Hirschmann has chosen Ein Zwei Polizei as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vic Vega! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Uwe Hirschmann! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Vega misses. Hirschmann closes the distance and clinches up with Vega, looking for a takedown. Hirschmann pushes Vega against the cage but Vega circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Vega drives through and clinches with Hirschmann against the cage.
Hirschmann fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vega drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vega lands a hook that snaps the head of Hirschmann backwards. Hirschmann tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vega smiles and moves away.
Vic Vega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uwe Hirschmann. Vega shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hirschmann as he avoids it easily. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Hirschmann closes the distance but Vega moves to the side letting Vega counter with a right hand. Hirschmann avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vega circles away from the clinch attempt and Vega counters with a crisp one two that drops Hirschmann! Vega thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Hirschmann to his feet! Hirschmann is in big trouble!
Hirschmann is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hirschmann is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vega sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Vega forces Hirschmann back against the cage and clinches. A bit of stalling here from Vega.

Vega scores with a hook to the body. A quick uppercut on the inside from Vega. Hirschmann pulls guard effortlessly. Hirschmann working for a triangle but Vega defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hirschmann is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Vega knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hirschmann on the ground. Hirschmann looks gassed! Hirschmann manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vega manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Vega is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hirschmann is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hirschmann looking for subs off his back but Vega has passed one foot through into half guard.
Vega tries to stand and escape but Hirschmann is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vega prevents Hirschmann from improving his position. Hirschmann is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Vega pulls his head out easily. Hirschmann moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hirschmann has his foot on Vega's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vega works his way back into a safe position though. Hirschmann is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Vega wants to stand but Hirschmann is controlling his posture from full guard. Hirschmann is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vega is aware though and is defending well. Vega wants to control from the top but Hirschmann keeps moving. Vega seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hirschmann trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hirschmann keeping moving, preventing Vega from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vic Vega dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hirschmann has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Vega finds it's way round the side to connect with Hirschmann's head. Hirschmann clinches up with Vega and pushes him back against the cage. Vega manages to break the clinch.
Uwe Hirschmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Vega as Hirschmann shoots in. Vic Vega is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Vega ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hirschmann moves away. No joy there for Vega, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hirschmann tries to clinch but Vega moves out of range. Horrible takedown by Hirschmann or perhaps it was just good defense by Vega which made him look bad. Hirschmann tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Vega counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Vega shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hirschmann pinned against the cage. Hirschmann gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A swing and a miss from Vega. Vega moves into the clinch successfully.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hirschmann manages to pull guard.
Hirschmann is looking for a triangle here but Vega uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hirschmann is trying to improve his position. Hirschmann sneaks back into half guard. Hirschmann looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Vega wants to get back to his feet.
Hirschmann tries to get to full guard but Vega has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hirschmann slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hirschmann looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vega is one step ahead there. Vega is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hirschmann has his foot on Vega's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vega works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vega preventing the sweep. Vega gets to his feet - Hirschmann follows without any prompting. Hirschmann shoots in for a double leg but Vega sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Vic Vega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uwe Hirschmann. Vega stuns Hirschmann with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Vega moves into range and clinches up with Hirschmann. Vega lands a shot to the body. Vega lands a shoulder strike. A short body shot lands from Vega as the two fighters clinch.
Vega can't get the takedown.
Vega changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hirschmann fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Vega just misses with a punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hirschmann lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Vega throws out a powerful jab. A combination from Vega does no damage. Hirschmann doesn't manage to clinch there - Vega circles away.
Hirschmann fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Vega lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hirschmann circles away quickly and effectively. Vega lands a slapping body shot.
Hirschmann shoots in but Vega avoids the takedown attempt easily. Vega has a takedown stuffed. Hirschmann shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vega defends it nicely. Hirschmann throws a series of punches but Vega moves out of range. Vega jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vic Vega dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Vega connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hirschmann's hands. Vega tries for a takedown but Hirschmann sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hirschmann shoots in for a takedown but Vega shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Vic Vega is winning the standup battle so far. Vega shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hirschmann manages to get to full guard.

Vega controlling from mount. Vega seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hirschmann for as long as he can get away with. Vic Vega is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hirschmann sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hirschmann wants to improve his position but Vega is controlling well.
Vega wants to stand up but Hirschmann has a hold of him and won't allow it. Hirschmann looking for submissions off his back. Hirschmann wants to improve his position but Vega is controlling well.
Uwe Hirschmann has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Vega throws a good cross that connects.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vic Vega. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vega, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
