Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fletcher Huntington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Crocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huntington comes to the cage accompanied by Verdi - Triumphal March from Aida. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fletcher Huntington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Doug Crocket! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huntington misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Crocket fails with a takedown attempt. Huntington fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Crocket manages to avoid it. Huntington cracks Crocket with a good jab.
It looks like Doug Crocket has been cut. Crocket shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Crocket shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Huntington as he avoids it easily. Fletcher Huntington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doug Crocket. Huntington has taken the fight to the clinch.
Crocket takes an elbow to the temple. Huntington lands a knee to the head.
Crocket is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Huntington pulls him back up using the underhooks. Crocket takes an elbow to the forehead. Crocket misses with a punch to the body.
Huntington crunches a lovely knee into Crocket's ribcage. Huntington's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Crocket shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Huntington as he avoids it easily. Crocket looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Huntington! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Huntington is wriggling around trying to escape.
Huntington tries to hold on but Crocket postures up. Crocket goes for an armbar but Huntington turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Huntington. Crocket looks gassed! Huntington controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huntington working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Huntington working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Crocket's head. Crocket preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Huntington cracks Crocket with a solid left hand. Crocket wants to stand up but Huntington is controlling him. Huntington gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Huntington comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Huntington bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Huntington is chipping away with strikes.
Huntington remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Crocket looks to move to half guard but instead Huntington has passed into mount! Damn!

Huntington cracks Crocket with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Huntington lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Huntington looking to secure an arm triangle but Crocket defends it well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee warns Crocket that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Crocket tries to lock up and control but Huntington gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Huntington lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Crocket hang on? Crocket is in a horrible position here. Huntington smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Nope, Crocket has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Huntington is working for a guillotine from mount but Crocket frees his head quite easily.

Huntington is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Crocket can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Huntington creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Crocket's defenses. Huntington lands an elbow that stopped Crocket in his tracks for a moment. Huntington lands a nice knee to the body. Huntington pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Crocket fails to land the takedown. Crocket is breathing heavily. Crocket shoots for a double leg takedown but Huntington sprawls well. He's pushed Crocket's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Huntington lands a jab to the nose. Huntington looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Huntington forces his way into half guard.

Huntington uses his free foot to push down on Crocket's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Crocket. Huntington is going olschool here, as he tries to force Crocket to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Crocket shrugs it off. Huntington has hold of Crocket's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. Crocket gets slowly back to his feet. Huntington darts in and clinches Crocket up against the cage. Huntington is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Huntington lands a damaging elbow. Crocket drops down looking for an ankle pick but Huntington pulls his leg out and moves away.

Huntington distracts Crocket with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Crocket looking for a sweep. Not yet Crocket, not yet. Huntington avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crocket had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Huntington defends it easily. Doug Crocket has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Crocket working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Huntington has passed into half guard!
Huntington looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Crocket is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Huntington pulls his head out easily. Huntington lands with a punch from half guard. Huntington is working for a kimura but Crocket is defending it quite comfortably.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crocket actively working from the bottom here. Huntington working the head and body with strikes. Huntington looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Crocket with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Huntington is trying to control. Crocket wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Huntington looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
