Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuck the Project (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rune Edvall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edvall has chosen Robert tepper - No easy way out as his entrance music. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edvall tries a head kick but it misses.

the Project swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Edvall is on the wrong end of a nice combination from the Project.
the Project misses with an uppercut. Edvall saw that one coming.
Edvall tries to close the distance and clinch but the Project swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Edvall gets in close and instigates a clinch.
the Project tries to circle away but Edvall has him pinned against the cage.
Edvall lands a nice elbow.
the Project breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Edvall tries a low kick but the Project avoids it.

Edvall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but the Project paws at him with a jab and circles away.
the Project tries to bum rush Edvall with a series of wild strikes but Edvall uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Edvall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Edvall throws a leg kick but the Project moved away.

A frustrated look appears on the Project's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Edvall has the Project pressed against the cage, preventing the Project from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
the Project escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Edvall looks for the body kick but the Project saw that one coming.
the Project fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Edvall manages to avoid it.
Edvall pushes the Project away with a front kick.
Edvall tries to clinch up.
Edvall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt the Project.
the Project is breathing heavily.
Edvall throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Edvall misses with a head kick.
Edvall lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Edvall with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Edvall feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to the Project's calf.
Edvall lands with a kick to the temple. the Project shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Edvall tries to clinch up.
Edvall scores with a kick to the body.
Edvall lands a big head kick that sends the Project tumbling to the mat! Edvall takes a step backwards and waves the Project back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Chuck the Project has been cut.
A head kick by Edvall - that's a beauty! the Project is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Edvall can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Rune Edvall! Rune Edvall retains his middleweight title!
