Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DJ Wegesin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DJ Wegesin! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Banks! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wegesin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Banks is in all sorts of trouble here.
Banks is squirming around, avoiding Wegesin's attempts to control the action. Wegesin controlling the position easily from mount. Banks is trying to escape the mount.
Wegesin is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Banks can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wegesin tries to control but Banks wriggling away. Wegesin prevents Banks from getting the reversal. Banks slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Banks wants to improve his position but Wegesin is controlling well.
Wegesin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Banks keeps working. Banks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wegesin is pressing down on Banks's thigh, looking to free his foot. Banks is holding on for now. Banks looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wegesin wants to free his trapped foot but Banks is holding on for dear life with his legs. Banks looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Banks looks gassed!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Banks blocks a head kick by Wegesin.
Wegesin doesn't manage to clinch there - Banks circles away.
Wegesin throws a series of punches but Banks moves out of range. Wegesin misses with a straight right.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wegesin tries a head kick but it misses.
DJ Wegesin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wegesin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wegesin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wegesin misses with a looping right. Wegesin throws a hook but Banks avoids it easily. Banks misses with a takedown and Wegesin counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Banks!
Banks is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wegesin content to control rather than advance. Banks is still in real trouble! Can Wegesin finish him? Wegesin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Banks for as long as he can get away with. Banks seems to have recovered his senses. Wegesin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Banks is pressing down on Wegesin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Banks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wegesin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wegesin looking to control the position here, rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DJ Wegesin dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Wegesin sizes up Banks with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Wegesin cracks Banks on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Banks falls backwards against the cage. Wegesin follows up with more strikes that drop Banks to his knees. Wegesin keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Banks! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). DJ Wegesin! DJ Wegesin is the new lightweight champion!
