Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Cabral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Villa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fernando Cabral!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francisco Villa!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabral throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cabral shoots in for a takedown but Villa shows good takedown defense.
Villa throws a looping overhand right but Cabral ducks down to avoid it.
Cabral shoots in but Villa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cabral looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Villa is fending him off so far but Cabral persists. Nope, Villa circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fernando Cabral. That's going to take a lot out of him.

No joy there for Cabral, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A decent looking cross lands there for Villa.
Cabral ducks right into an uppercut from Villa.

Cabral is breathing heavily.

Villa feints and as Cabral raises his hands in defense, Villa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Villa thows a big elbow that misses.

Villa in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Villa throws a big right hand that misses.
Villa trying to control but Cabral is working from the bottom.
Villa postures up in Cabral's guard and throws a big left but Cabral blocks it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Villa shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Cabral is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are battling for position here. Cabral manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cabral is trying to control the position but Villa postures up.
Villa wants to control from the top but Cabral keeps moving.

Villa is pressing down on Cabral's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cabral is holding on for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cabral is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Villa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Villa's back!

Cabral is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Villa has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

I really don't envy Villa right now.
Villa breaks Cabral's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Villa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cabral's guard.

Cabral closes the distance and clinches up with Villa, looking for a takedown. Cabral pushes Villa against the cage but Villa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Villa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cabral keeps working.
