Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tomasz Drwal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Drake Dragon! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping leg kick lands for Dragon.
Drwal looks for a takedown but Dragon sprawls well. Dragon looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Drwal looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Drwal decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dragon is trying to control but can't.
Dragon tries to get to full guard but Drwal has control of the leg. Dragon regains full guard. Nicely done. Drwal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Drwal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Drwal preventing the sweep. Drwal slips nicely into half guard. Drwal is looking for a kimura here.
Drwal is breathing heavily. Drwal stops Dragon from getting back to his feet.

Dragon slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Drwal preventing the sweep. Drwal trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Drwal avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Drwal drops back looking for a leg! Dragon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dragon manages to kick Drwal off! Drwal jumps back into Dragon's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drwal is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Dragon is trying to keep Drwal in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dragon tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dragon wants to stand but Drwal is controlling the position. Dragon is looking for a triangle but Drwal pushes his legs off easily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dragon swings for the body but Drwal moves out of range.
Drwal looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dragon is fending him off so far but Drwal persists. Nope, Dragon circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomasz Drwal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dragon just misses with a punch to the body.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Dragon wants a takedown.

Dragon is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Drwal has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dragon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dragon successfully pulls guard.
Drwal works a leg free and moves into half guard. Drwal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dragon keeps working. Drwal wants to work for an arm triangle but Dragon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dragon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Drwal is working away from the top position though. Dragon is in trouble now - Drwal has advanced to mount! Drwal is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dragon is surviving well by controlling Drwal's body position as best he can. Drwal moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Dragon has worked his arm free - good work by Dragon!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Drake Dragon will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Drwal closes the distance and clinches up with Dragon, looking for a takedown. Drwal pushes Dragon against the cage but Dragon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drwal shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dragon but Dragon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Drwal will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomasz Drwal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Drwal blocks a head kick by Dragon.

Tomasz Drwal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Drwal slaps away a takedown attempt from Dragon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dragon misses with a wild combination.
Drwal drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Dragon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dragon keeping moving, preventing Drwal from controlling successfully. Drwal passes Dragon's left leg - he's now in half guard. Drwal wants to control but Dragon is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dragon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Drwal's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Drwal's back! Dragon looking to break Drwal's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Drwal remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Dragon will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Dragon has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Drwal has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Drwal is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dragon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Drwal is one step ahead there. Dragon is looking to stand up but Drwal isn't so interested in that idea. Drwal slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Dragon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Drwal's guard. Drwal looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Drwal wants to control the position but Dragon says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Dragon scoring with strikes to the body and head. Drwal wants to control but Dragon is keeping busy.
Dragon passes to full mount! Drwal is trying desperately to improve position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Tomasz Drwal will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Dragon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Drwal looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Drwal manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Dragon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tomasz Drwal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dragon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Drwal tries to free his leg and advance position but Dragon is retaining full guard. Dragon keeping moving, preventing Drwal from controlling successfully. Drwal drops back looking for a leg! Dragon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dragon manages to kick Drwal off! Drwal jumps back into Dragon's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dragon looking to control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dragon scores with a decent looking hook. Dragon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Drwal swats him away and circles back towards the center. Drwal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Dragon has his feet on Drwal's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Drwal dives in and grabs Dragon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dragon pushes down on Drwal's head and hops out. Dragon lands a jab-cross combination. Dragon closes the distance and pushes Drwal back into the cage. Drwal is pressed up against the cage. Dragon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Drwal down to the mat. Drwal avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dragon attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Drwal with a poor takedown and Dragon counters with an inside leg kick. Dragon moves into range and clinches up with Drwal. Dragon misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Drwal.
Dragon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Drwal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Dragon is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Drwal celebrates the victory with the fans!
