Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Hagler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack the Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hagler kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kae Wun - I'm Hot. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marvin Hagler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack the Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
the Ripper misses with a double jab.
Hagler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hagler tries to close the distance and clinch up but the Ripper swats him away and circles back towards the center.
the Ripper scores with a nice head shot.
the Ripper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hagler shoots in but no luck this time.
the Ripper tries to bum rush Hagler with a series of wild strikes but Hagler uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
the Ripper closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
the Ripper wants to control but Hagler is keeping him busy.
Hagler is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on the Ripper's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Hagler has gone for a leg lock! the Ripper slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hagler's guard.

and the Ripper counters with a three punch combo that has Hagler backing up. Hagler nods at the Ripper to acknowledge the strikes.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
the Ripper is looking to clinch but Hagler is avoiding it.

the Ripper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hagler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, the Ripper has managed to get both his arms back between Hagler's legs - danger averted.

the Ripper wants to control from the top but Hagler keeps moving.
Hagler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells the Ripper's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
the Ripper throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

and Hagler counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in the Ripper's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hagler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hagler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hagler goes for an armbar but the Ripper turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from the Ripper.

Jack the Ripper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

the Ripper has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hagler to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! the Ripper is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hagler pulls down on the head and he's put the Ripper to sleep! This one is all over!
