Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Wazesky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill comes to the cage accompanied by Darude - Sandstorm. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dan Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Wazesky!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wazesky gets a takedown into half guard.
Wazesky is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Wazesky looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Wazesky decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Hill drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wazesky sneaks back into half guard.
Hill wants to stand up but Wazesky is controlling the position.
Wazesky is trying to stand.
Wazesky tries to roll over but Hill keeps him under control.
Hill knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wazesky on the ground.
Hill content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Wazesky preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Wazesky wants to get back to full guard.
Wazesky controlling the position for now.
Hill wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wazesky keeps working.

Hill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wazesky does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
It looks like Hill is going to stand back up.

Wazesky has one foot on Hill's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Hill looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wazesky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Wazesky is not content to let Hill control the position.

Hill is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Wazesky has his foot on Hill's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hill works his way back into a safe position though.
Hill slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hill has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hill has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Dan Hill just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Hill drives through and clinches with Wazesky against the cage.

Wazesky is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hill gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Hill is pushing Wazesky up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Hill escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Brandon Wazesky will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Wazesky keeps the fight on the outside.
Hill stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hill wants it to stay on the feet.

Wazesky is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Wazesky blocks an elbow strike from Hill.

Hill misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Wazesky counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wazesky.
Hill fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Hill wants to stand and escape but Wazesky is having none of it.

Brandon Wazesky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Wazesky looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hill!
Hill is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Hill wants to hold on but Wazesky pushes him away.
Wazesky working the ground and pound effectively.

Hill can't escape the position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Wazesky lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hill has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wazesky is working away from the top position though.
Brandon Wazesky has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hill is trying is best to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wazesky thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Hill is trying to control but can't.
Hill pushes Wazesky off looking to stand but Wazesky dives back in and keeps control.
Wazesky seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hill does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Wazesky is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hill doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wazesky.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hill wants to clinch.

Wazesky fails with an attempt to clinch.

Wazesky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dan Hill has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hill wants to get up but he can't break Wazesky's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Wazesky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hill gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hill with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Brandon Wazesky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Wazesky winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
