Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan McPhee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McPhee has chosen Loose yourself as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan McPhee!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves misses with a two punch combination.
Alves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McPhee.
McPhee swats away the attempt to clinch by Alves.
Alves scores with a jab to the jaw.

Alves gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McPhee to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Alves is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
McPhee scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

It looks like Paulo Alves has been cut.
McPhee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

McPhee drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McPhee jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Alves is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McPhee defends well.

Alves is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McPhee is controlling him.

McPhee works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
McPhee prevents Alves from escaping the position.
McPhee looks up at the clock and then as Alves takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, McPhee smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Alves tries to get back to half guard but can't.

McPhee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McPhee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

McPhee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Alves is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
McPhee looks gassed!

McPhee wants to control but Alves is keeping him busy.
McPhee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Alves can't do much from the bottom here.

Alves is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but McPhee has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

McPhee gets control of Alves's arms and successfully pulls guard. McPhee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

McPhee shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Alves is trying to defend but McPhee finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
