Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Javier Aquila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Corbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Aquila might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Ultimate Fighter. The crowd seem to be enjoying Corbett's choice of entrance music: Eazy-e real motherfuckin gs. Javier Aquila could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Frank Corbett's chin.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corbett is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aquila sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Horrible takedown by Corbett or perhaps it was just good defense by Aquila which made him look bad.
Corbett looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Javier Aquila has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Corbett.
Corbett shoots in looking for a takedown. Aquila tries to sprawl out of it but Corbett keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Aquila manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Corbett looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Aquila is fending him off so far but Corbett persists. Nope, Aquila circles away and we're back to standing.
Corbett tries for a takedown but Aquila sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Aquila misses with a two punch combination.

Aquila stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aquila wants it to stay on the feet.
Aquila stuffs the takedown attempt from Corbett. Corbett gets slowly back to his feet.
Corbett shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Aquila defends it nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Corbett.
Corbett is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aquila sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Corbett is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Corbett looks gassed!

Aquila clinches up against the cage.
Aquila has picked Corbett up - he's going for a ride! Aquila dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Aquila connects with a nice short shot to Corbett's temple.
Aquila is looking for a kimura here.
Corbett wants to get back to his feet.
Corbett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aquila. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Aquila wants to work for an arm triangle but Corbett is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Aquila lands a nice short elbow.
Aquila has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Corbett is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Aquila working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Corbett turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Aquila off and cradles Corbett's limp body as Aquila celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Javier Aquila!
