Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo The Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Matielli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruno Matielli told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matielli fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A head kick from The Power lands but Matielli takes it in his stride.
Matielli shoots in and bounces The Power off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Matielli thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
