Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Kingman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Gerbik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Kingman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mr Gerbik!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kingman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kingman throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kingman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kingman motions for Gerbik to come forward. Kingman throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Gerbik blocks a low kick nicely.

Kingman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Gerbik is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kingman is aware though and is defending well.
Kingman wants to get up but he can't break Gerbik's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Gerbik preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Kingman wants to pass the guard but Gerbik is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kingman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gerbik is proving hard to escape from.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gerbik shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kingman but Kingman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kingman is looking to land body kicks.
Kingman swings for the body but Gerbik moves out of range.
Kingman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gerbik.

and Gerbik counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gerbik tries to free his leg and advance position but Kingman is retaining full guard.

Kingman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kingman is breathing heavily.
Gerbik advances position into side control!

Kingman looking for a sweep but Gerbik has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Poor strikes thrown by Gerbik there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Gerbik unloads with some shots from mount but Kingman bucks and avoids them well.

Gerbik is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Kingman has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Gerbik is looking for the choke from the back position but Kingman is controlling his hands well.

Gerbik working for a choke but Kingman is defending well.

Gerbik controls the position.
Gerbik keeps control of the position as Kingman tries to break free.
Kingman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mr Gerbik dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kingman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kingman showed some decent athleticism there.

Gerbik is defending against the submission attempts here by Kingman.
Mr Gerbik has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kingman is trying to control the action in half guard but Gerbik is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kingman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Gerbik tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Gerbik counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Kingman is striking but Gerbik is not phased and passes to half guard.

Gerbik is working for a submission of some sort.

Gerbik works his foot free and advances to mount.
Gerbik prevents Kingman from getting the reversal.
Kingman blocking the ground and pound.

Kingman is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kingman is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Kingman is looking to improve his position but Gerbik isn't that keen on the idea.
Gerbik tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Gerbik trying to control but Kingman is having none of it.
Kingman tries to lock up and control but Gerbik gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gerbik tries to control but Kingman wriggling away.

Gerbik looking to secure an arm triangle but Kingman defends it well.
Kingman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kingman tries to get out of the position.

Gerbik with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kingman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kingman is squirming around, avoiding Gerbik's attempts to control the action.

Gerbik jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kingman manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Kingman is looking to reverse the position.

Kingman can't do much from the bottom here.
Kingman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gerbik on the ground.
The ground and pound from Gerbik seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gerbik takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gerbik blocks a low kick nicely.

Gerbik throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kingman was covering up waiting for the punch and Gerbik finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Gerbik is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
