Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Allan Von Reinar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Von Reinar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Iron Maiden - Fear of the dark. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Allan Von Reinar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Hunt! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Von Reinar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hunt. Von Reinar instigates a clinch. Von Reinar gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Hunt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Von Reinar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Von Reinar working some strikes from top position. Hunt keeping moving, preventing Von Reinar from controlling successfully. Von Reinar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hunt is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Von Reinar throws a big right hand that misses. Von Reinar passes Hunt's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hunt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Von Reinar is working away from the top position though. Hunt tries to get to full guard but Von Reinar has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Von Reinar wants to advance to full mount but Hunt doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Von Reinar wanted to stand there but Hunt had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Von Reinar throws a big right hand that misses. Von Reinar with a flurry of punches that miss. Von Reinar tries to free his leg and advance position but Hunt is retaining full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hunt misses with a hook. Hunt shoots in and bounces Von Reinar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Von Reinar trying to control the position.
Von Reinar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hunt is looking to work some ground and pound but Von Reinar has wrist control. Von Reinar wants to sweep but no luck. Hunt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hunt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Von Reinar lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hunt! Hunt is squirming around, avoiding Von Reinar's attempts to control the action. Von Reinar get's back to his feet. Hunt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Von Reinar moves into the clinch. Von Reinar fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hunt is pressed up against the cage. Von Reinar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hunt down to the mat. Hunt avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hunt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Von Reinar throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hunt. Hunt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Von Reinar circles away. Von Reinar on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Von Reinar avoids a punch combination nicely.
Von Reinar moves into range and clinches up with Hunt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Von Reinar has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hunt is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Allan Von Reinar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Von Reinar tries to pull guard but Hunt holds him up against the cage and eventually Von Reinar drops back down to his feet.
Von Reinar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hunt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Von Reinar is looking for a triangle but Hunt pushes his legs off easily.
Hunt missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Von Reinar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hunt is looking to improve his position but Von Reinar isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunt is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Von Reinar controlling from mount. Von Reinar with the ground and pound from mount. Von Reinar breaks from Hunt's wrist control and lands an elbow. Hunt is looking to get to half guard. Hunt holds on to Von Reinar as tight as he can, avoiding damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Von Reinar tries to control but Hunt wriggling away. Von Reinar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hunt is desperately trying to improve his position but Von Reinar has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Allan Von Reinar dominated that round. That's time! Von Reinar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hunt with a nice cross. Von Reinar moves into range and clinches up with Hunt. Von Reinar breaks from the clinch.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Von Reinar. Von Reinar stands up. Hunt throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Von Reinar scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. What's Hunt going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Hunt can't do much from the bottom here. Von Reinar wants to control but Hunt is keeping him busy. Von Reinar tries to move to mount but Hunt blocks the move with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Von Reinar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Von Reinar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hunt tries to buck Von Reinar off but Von Reinar is having none of it. Von Reinar tries for a kimura but Hunt is defending well. Hunt manages to get back to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Von Reinar perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hunt is trying to maintain the position but Von Reinar is very close to passing his half guard. Hunt works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hunt wants to sweep but no luck. Von Reinar postures up.
Von Reinar is working Hunt over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Von Reinar stopping the sweep attempt from Hunt.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Von Reinar moves into the clinch. Von Reinar breaks the clinch.

Von Reinar showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Von Reinar wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving. Hunt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hunt fails with a takedown attempt. Hunt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Von Reinar moves away. Hunt misses with a takedown so Von Reinar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Von Reinar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunt swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hunt pushes Von Reinar off and gets back to his feet.
Von Reinar is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hunt's half guard. Hunt is trying to control but can't.
Allan Von Reinar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Von Reinar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Von Reinar in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Hunt tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Von Reinar!
