The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howden tries to clinch but Magalhaes is having none of it.
Howden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Magalhaes is working to get back to half guard.
Magalhaes tries to lock up and control but Howden gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Magalhaes is desperately trying to improve his position but Howden has a good base and remains in mount.
Magalhaes is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Magalhaes wants to try and get back to his feet.
Howden with shots to the head and body - Magalhaes looks very uncomfortable down there.
Howden wants to control the pace but Magalhaes is squirming around nicely.
Magalhaes is working to get back to half guard.
Magalhaes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Magalhaes bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Magalhaes passes Howden's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Howden is breathing heavily.

Magalhaes is working for a kimura here but Howden manages to reverse the position and he's now in Magalhaes's guard.
Magalhaes pushes a forearm under Howden's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Howden is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
