Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Arnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Olsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Curtis Arnett looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Curtis Arnett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phillip Olsen! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olsen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Arnett looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Olsen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Arnett circles away quickly and effectively. Arnett takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Curtis Arnett has been cut. Olsen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Arnett, pushing him back against the cage. Arnett tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Olsen smiles and moves away.
Olsen throws a shot to the body.
Olsen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Olsen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Olsen not landing any meaningful shots this time. Olsen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olsen drops an elbow to the side of Arnett's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Olsen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Arnett is just riding it out for now. Olsen eventually gives up the hold. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Despite being in the dominant position, Phillip Olsen just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Olsen misses with a series of wild punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Olsen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oooh a lovely combination from Olsen sends Arnett down but not out. Olsen dives into side control looking to finish.
Arnett is rocked! Arnett trying to remain calm as Olsen controls from the top position. Oh Arnett is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Arnett seems to have got his legs back now. Arnett might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Olsen stands up and beckons Arnett to his feet. Nice body punch from Olsen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Olsen shoots in for a takedown but Arnett shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Olsen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Olsen clinches up with Arnett and pushes him back against the cage. Olsen scores with a hook to the body. Arnett keeps control of Olsen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Olsen presses Arnett against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Olsen scores with a hook to the body. Olsen scores with a shoulder strike. Olsen has Arnett pressed against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Olsen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Olsen stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phillip Olsen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Curtis Arnett's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Olsen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Olsen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. A shot to de liver by Olsen. Beautiful body shot. The fight stays on the outside here - Olsen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A jab-cross combination lands for Olsen and sends Arnett crashing to the mat! Olsen follows him down to the mat - Arnett regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Arnett is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Olsen scores with a couple of nice shots. Olsen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Arnett with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Olsen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Olsen drops an elbow to the side of Arnett's head. Olsen controlling the action here.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Olsen stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Olsen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Olsen working over Arnett with some ground and pound. Arnett looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Olsen has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Olsen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Olsen passes the guard and advances to mount! Olsen controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Olsen working the ground and pound effectively.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Olsen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Olsen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Phillip Olsen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Curtis Arnett's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Olsen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Olsen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Arnett sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Olsen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Arnett paws at him with a jab and circles away. Arnett is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Olsen.
Curtis Arnett's cut is getting worse. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Olsen jabs Arnett right on the nose. Arnett blinks but takes it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olsen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Olsen sitting and controlling from the half guard. Arnett is looking for a sweep. Olsen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Olsen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Olsen passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Arnett!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Olsen avoids the attempt from Arnett to control. Olsen lands with some strikes. Olsen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Olsen slips a nice elbow through Arnett's hands, connecting with Arnett's forehead. Olsen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Arnett defending well though. Olsen trying to control the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Phillip Olsen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Olsen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
