Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Kildahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristian Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kildahl kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sound of Madness. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Kildahl! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cristian Gracie! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Gracie.
Kildahl dodges the punch combination from Gracie.
Gracie thows a body shot but no joy. Gracie throws a combination. Kildahl tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kildahl swivels and escapes. Kildahl thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Gracie if he has to take too many more of those.
Gracie is looking to clinch. Kildahl throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gracie takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Kildahl misses with a series of wild punches.
Kildahl falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control. Kildahl might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kildahl seems a little lost for a moment, as Gracie dominates the positioning. Kildahl is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kildahl throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Gracie is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kildahl is looking for a sweep. and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kildahl!
The fighters circle momentarily. Kildahl darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kildahl counters with a one-two to the body. Sam Kildahl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cristian Gracie. Gracie walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gracie crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kildahl - the referee stops the clock and Gracie gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kildahl. Gracie manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Kildahl tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kildahl throws a right and a left that both miss. Kildahl dips to his left and cracks Gracie with an uppercut! Kildahl stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kildahl wants it to stay on the feet. Kildahl misses with a series of wild punches.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Kildahl circles away easily and Kildahl counters with a slapping leg kick. Kildahl wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance. Cristian Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gracie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kildahl. Kildahl looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Kildahl persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing. Gracie thows a body shot but no joy. Gracie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kildahl has closed the distance and engaged Gracie in a clinch.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kildahl walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kildahl tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries for a takedown but Kildahl circles away easily and Kildahl counters with a nice body shot. Kildahl scores a takedown into full mount! Kildahl lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Gracie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gracie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gracie tries to lock up and control but Kildahl gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kildahl with good strikes from the mount here! Gracie is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Kildahl dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Gracie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kildahl. Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A chopping leg kick lands by Kildahl. Gracie with a lazy takedown attempt and Kildahl cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kildahl bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Gracie misses with a straight left. Kildahl stalks Gracie and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gracie's face. Gracie staggers backwards, shaken. Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kildahl.
Jab by Kildahl. Sam Kildahl is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kildahl lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kildahl scores with a hook. A good leg kick by Kildahl. Kildahl scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though. Sam Kildahl is winning the standup battle so far. Kildahl circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kildahl throws a leg kick which misses Gracie's front leg but catches the back leg as Gracie tries to avoid it. Kildahl goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kildahl!

Kildahl fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kildahl counters with a nice body shot. Sam Kildahl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cristian Gracie.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice shot by Gracie. Gracie misses with a wild body shot. Kildahl lands with a slapping head kick. Gracie throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gracie lands a jab to the nose. Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gracie controlling from the top position. Kildahl wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment. That's three minutes gone in the round. Kildahl had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily. Gracie is pushing down on Kildahl's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kildahl is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through. Kildahl wants to get back to full guard but Gracie has mounted him! Gracie controlling the pace for now. Kildahl is bucking up trying to escape but Gracie cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gracie controlling his opponent. Kildahl is trying to escape the mount.
Gracie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kildahl is surviving well by controlling Gracie's body position as best he can. Kildahl is working to get back to half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sam Kildahl will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Gracie looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kildahl! Kildahl is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Gracie looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kildahl is bucking up trying to escape but Gracie cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kildahl tries to reverse the position but Gracie maintains control. Gracie controlling the position easily from mount. Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kildahl scores with a one two! Gracie had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kildahl sprawls well. Kildahl wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet. Horrible takedown by Kildahl or perhaps it was just good defense by Gracie which made him look bad. Gracie misses with a double jab
and Kildahl counters with an outside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie throws a series of punches but Kildahl avoids them all with ease. Kildahl darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Gracie misses with a combination
and Kildahl counters with a low kick, right behind Gracie 's knee. Kildahl throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gracie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kildahl to the mat! Kildahl manages to get full guard. Gracie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gracie controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cristian Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kildahl has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though. Kildahl is looking to sweep but instead, Gracie has passed into half guard.
Kildahl is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily. Gracie decides to stand and escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Cristian Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kildahl has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
