The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Emelianenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

walcott has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

walcott shoots in and bounces Emelianenko off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
walcott must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
walcott controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!


A head kick from walcott lands but Emelianenko takes it in his stride.

walcott bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
walcott works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
walcott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Emelianenko keeps working.
Emelianenko tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

walcott tries to keep control of the position but Emelianenko is staying busy.

walcott just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
walcott tries to get the hooks in deep but Emelianenko pushed the leg off.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Despite being in the dominant position, jermain walcott just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

walcott stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Emelianenko wants to clinch but walcott slips to the side

and walcott counters with a single leg into guard. Emelianenko didn't expect that.
walcott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Emelianenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
walcott wants to control from the top but Emelianenko keeps moving.

Emelianenko wants to get back to his feet but walcott is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Emelianenko controls walcott momentarily but walcott frees himself.

Let's hope that walcott has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
