Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drake Lide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Byron Derksen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derksen has chosen Mindless Self Indulgence- Bitches as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Byron Derksen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lide gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Derksen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lide swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Derksen throwing strikes from guard but Lide blocks nicely.
Derksen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lide utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Derksen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Lide is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Derksen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Derksen is looking for a kimura here.
Derksen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Derksen is working for a submission of some sort.
Derksen stands up out of the half guard.
Lide misses with a takedown
and Derksen moves into the clinch.
Lide lands a body shot in the clinch.
Derksen avoiding damage.
Lide is trying to break the clinch but Derksen has him pressed against the cage.
Derksen manages to pull guard.
Derksen has control of Lide's left arm, preventing Lide from doing any damage.

Derksen pushes Lide off and gets back to his feet.
Lide is breathing heavily.
Derksen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lide did well to prevent Derksen getting side control.
Derksen thows a huge punch but Lide dodges it nicely.
Derksen lands with a punch from half guard.
Derksen scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Lide tries to kick Derksen off but Derksen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Derksen drops an elbow to the side of Lide's head.
Derksen is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Derksen passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lide!

Derksen has hold of Lide's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lide manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Derksen controlling the position easily from mount.
Derksen lands a nice shot to the head.
Derksen is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lide can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Derksen is landing with some decent strikes but Lide is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Lide is rocked!
Lide is in a horrible position here. Derksen smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Lide is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Derksen lands a big shot to the head and Lide winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
