Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ace Ventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Job (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Job has chosen I'm On a Mac as his entrance music. Ace Ventura has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ace Ventura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Job!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Job is fending him off so far but Ventura persists. Nope, Job circles away and we're back to standing.
Steve Job seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Job tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Ventura paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ventura throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ventura avoids the head kick by Job.
Job misses with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Job shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Job wants to control the pace but Ventura is squirming around nicely.
Ventura tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ventura is working hard here to advance position.
Job putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Ventura flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ventura is looking to get to half guard.

Job has control of Ventura's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ventura regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Ventura can't escape the position.
Job working the ground and pound effectively.
Ventura tries to reverse the position but Job maintains control.
Job looking to control but Ventura is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Ventura is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Job dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Ventura scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Job is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ventura thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Job's head.
Ventura tries to pass the half guard into mount. Job knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ventura looks to land a strike but Job avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Job is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ventura is looking to work some ground and pound but Job has wrist control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Job is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Ventura works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Job is trying to control Ventura's posture but Ventura avoids it.
Ventura throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Ventura throwing strikes but Job manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ace Ventura dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ventura cracks Job with a big right hand but Job just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Ventura connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Job some visible discomfort.

Job is rocked!
Ace Ventura overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ventura looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Job is still in real trouble! Can Ventura finish him?
Ventura lands a big elbow - Job is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Ventura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ace Ventura!
