Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maik Murmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Spicolli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murmann comes to the cage accompanied by Nur ein Wort. Spicolli is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spicolli slaps away a takedown attempt from Murmann, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Murmann looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Murmann shoots in but no luck this time.
Spicolli drives through with a takedown into guard.
Murmann might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Spicolli thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Spicolli drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Spicolli jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Spicolli is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Spicolli stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murmann swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spicolli drops back looking for a leg! Murmann is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Murmann manages to kick Spicolli off! Spicolli jumps back into Murmann's guard.

Murmann has his foot on Spicolli's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Spicolli works his way back into a safe position though.

Spicolli wants to work for an arm triangle but Murmann is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Murmann is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Spicolli pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Spicolli is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Spicolli is looking for a kimura but Murmann is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Spicolli to get the leverage.
Spicolli prevents Murmann from improving his position.
Spicolli maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Murmann could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Spicolli has cracked it and Murmann is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Spicolli!
