Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Donaldson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ken Donaldson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Hideo Sakurai's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideo Sakurai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Donaldson! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakurai misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sakurai throws a head kick but Donaldson moves out of range.
Sakurai looks to score with a jab to the body but Donaldson is just out of range. Sakurai throws a right hand that Donaldson ducks under and follows up with a left that Donaldson also avoids with ease. Sakurai misses with a looping right. Donaldson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sakurai looks to land a left hand but Donaldson moved out of range nicely. Donaldson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sakurai stuffs the takedown. Hideo Sakurai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Donaldson. Horrible takedown by Donaldson or perhaps it was just good defense by Sakurai which made him look bad. Nice defenses there by Donaldson. Donaldson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sakurai waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Donaldson. Sakurai clobbers Donaldson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Donaldson looks gassed! A shot to de liver by Sakurai. Beautiful body shot. Sakurai feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Donaldson sprawling to the canvas! Donaldson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Sakurai finish him?!
Donaldson is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Donaldson shoots in for a takedown but Sakurai shows good takedown defense. Donaldson is still on wobbly legs! Can Sakurai finish him? Donaldson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Donaldson seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round. A choreographed right hand from Sakurai misses the target. Sakurai swats away the attempt to clinch by Donaldson. Donaldson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Donaldson fails to land the takedown. Donaldson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sakurai is fending him off so far but Donaldson persists. Nope, Sakurai circles away and we're back to standing. Sakurai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sakurai throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Donaldson's waist but Donaldson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sakurai off to one side. Sakurai bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sakurai controlling the position. The ground and pound from Sakurai seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Donaldson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Sakurai.
Donaldson is trying to work for a sweep but Sakurai has mounted him! Sakurai controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sakurai has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Hideo Sakurai just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Sakurai jabs at Donaldson's body. Sakurai scores with the left hand. Donaldson knows he should have avoided that one. Donaldson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sakurai throws a sloppy head kick and Donaldson moves out of range easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Donaldson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Donaldson instigates a clinch. Donaldson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Donaldson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sakurai just stands there and leans against the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, Donaldson throws an elbow but misses. Donaldson can't get the takedown.
Donaldson keeps control of Sakurai as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Donaldson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sakurai wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Donaldson fails to pull guard.
Donaldson manages to break the clinch.
Sakurai throws a series of punches but Donaldson moves out of range. Donaldson tries for a takedown but Sakurai sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sakurai misses with a double jab.
Donaldson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Donaldson looking to sit in guard and control but Sakurai gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sakurai stays in close to Donaldson's body and controls the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sakurai stands and steps away. Donaldson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hideo Sakurai dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Donaldson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sakurai circles away. Sakurai connects with a stiff jab that staggers Donaldson - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Hideo Sakurai!
