Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nordine Ben (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Kennedy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nordine Ben! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ben tries to clinch up. Kennedy with a jab. Kennedy keeps the fight on the outside. Nordine Ben seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kennedy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ben tries to avoid it but Kennedy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ben to the ground. Ben escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ben tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kennedy scores with a jab to the head.
Kennedy has closed the distance and engaged Ben in a clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kennedy as Ben tries to tie him up. Kennedy gets underhooks to prevent Ben's takedown attempt.
Kennedy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kennedy scores with a punch to the head. Ben darts in trying to clinch and Kennedy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ben! This has been an exciting period of action! Kennedy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ben manages to avoid the submission attempt. Kennedy has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Ben!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ben is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ben really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kennedy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kennedy with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Kennedy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ben manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kennedy just content to control the position. Ben is not content to let Kennedy control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennedy looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ben seems a little lost for a moment, as Kennedy dominates the positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ben struggling a bit here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ben can do anything to dispel that myth. Kennedy tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ben is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Kennedy dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ben closes the distance looking to clinch and Kennedy counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ben checks the leg kick nicely there.
Kennedy darts in and clinches Ben up against the cage. Kennedy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kennedy ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kennedy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ben circles away quickly and effectively. Ben wants to clinch enabling Kennedy to counter with a crisp jab. Ben tries to clinch and Kennedy holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Ben throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Ben with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Kennedy misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kennedy circles away from the clinch attempt and Kennedy counters with a head kick. That will keep Ben thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kennedy missing with a left hand there. Ben was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ben gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kennedy scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Ben lands a nice elbow. Ben misses with a knee strike.

Kennedy lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ben backs up against the cage.
Kennedy misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ben leaves Kennedy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ben tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kennedy counters with a head kick. Ben wants to clinch but Kennedy slips to the side and Kennedy counters with a single leg into guard. Ben didn't expect that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ben throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ben working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kennedy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ben tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ben trying to control the position.
Ben is wriggling around but Kennedy manages to pass to half guard.
Kennedy stalling. Ben avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kennedy. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ben looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ben tries to clinch but Kennedy moves away and Kennedy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ben's guard now. Kennedy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ben is keeping the position for now. Ben is looking to stand back up but Kennedy counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ben. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ben is staying active underneath Kennedy, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ben manages to escape and get back to his feet! Kennedy throws a series of punches but Ben avoids them all with ease. Ben tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kennedy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ben's guard now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ben wants to stand and escape but Kennedy is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Kennedy dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Ben looks to clinch and Kennedy counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Ben wants to stall.
Kennedy wants to get back to striking at distance but Ben won't allow it.

It looks like George Kennedy has been cut. Kennedy decides to pull guard. Ben trying to control but Kennedy is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ben accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ben postures up in Kennedy's guard and throws a big left but Kennedy blocks it. Kennedy is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Ben frees his head nicely. Oh but Kennedy has switched to an armbar! Ben is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
