Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sena Kobayakawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kobayakawa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips doesn't manage to clinch there - Kobayakawa circles away.
Kobayakawa throws a shot from downtown. Phillips moves away and avoids it.
Phillips fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kobayakawa thows a left - swing and a miss!
Phillips moves out of range as Kobayakawa strikes.

Phillips rushes Kobayakawa and presses him up against the cage.
Phillips has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kobayakawa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kobayakawa pulls guard effortlessly.
Kobayakawa looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Kobayakawa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Phillips manages to get himself to full guard.

Kobayakawa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Phillips manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kobayakawa has Phillips in his guard.
Phillips postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Phillips really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kobayakawa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kobayakawa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Phillips is one step ahead there.
Kobayakawa is trying to control the position but Phillips postures up.
Phillips throws a big right hand that misses.
Phillips missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Phillips keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kobayakawa's head.

Phillips stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Kobayakawa has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Phillips manages to get his head free but now Kobayakawa has transitioned to an armbar! Phillips grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Kobayakawa! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
