Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Shaun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trainer Wrestle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaun comes to the cage accompanied by The Soviettes - "#1 Is Number Two". Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Shaun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trainer Wrestle! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaun looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wrestle is fending him off so far but Shaun persists. Nope, Wrestle circles away and we're back to standing. Wrestle is looking to clinch. Wrestle thows a body shot but no joy. Wrestle throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wrestle misses with a wild body shot. Wrestle fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shaun sprawls well initially but Wrestle persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Wrestle is figuring out what he wants to do next. Wrestle prevents Shaun from improving his position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wrestle is looking to stall here but Shaun recovers full guard. Shaun is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wrestle is aware though and is defending well. Wrestle trying to control but Shaun is working from the bottom. Wrestle controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Despite being in the dominant position, Trainer Wrestle just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wrestle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shaun.
Wrestle shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wrestle showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaun is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wrestle perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Shaun looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Shaun has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wrestle is working away from the top position though. Shaun looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wrestle controlling the action here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. I looks like Wrestle might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Shaun preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wrestle takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trainer Wrestle dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wrestle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shaun gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Shaun is looking to improve his position but Wrestle isn't that keen on the idea. Shaun is working hard here to advance position. Wrestle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shaun is looking to escape. Wrestle tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shaun tries to hold on but Wrestle postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shaun is looking to get to half guard. Shaun tries to hold on but Wrestle postures up. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Shaun tries to hold on but Wrestle postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shaun is squirming around, avoiding Wrestle's attempts to control the action. Shaun takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Shaun tries to hold on but Wrestle pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trainer Wrestle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Shaun's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Wrestle tries to clinch but Shaun is having none of it. Shaun gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wrestle counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Shaun manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Wrestle has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shaun is proving hard to escape from. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wrestle controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wrestle tries to stand but Shaun is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wrestle stands up over Shaun, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Wrestle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shaun is keeping the position for now. Shaun has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wrestle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wrestle is looking to stand up but Shaun won't let him. Shaun lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wrestle! Wrestle really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wrestle can do anything to dispel that myth.

Shaun jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Wrestle is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Wrestle and Shaun has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaun trying to control the action but Wrestle is working from the bottom. Shaun tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Shaun looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Mark Shaun has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shaun goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Wrestle rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Shaun's guard! Nice work there by Wrestle! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shaun keeping moving, preventing Wrestle from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Trainer Wrestle. Well Wrestle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
