Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Schillaci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Hood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Schillaci! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Hood! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Schillaci looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hood changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schillaci tries to avoid it but Hood manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schillaci to the ground. Schillaci escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hood tries to clinch there but Schillaci circles away.
Good exchange - Hood coming out on top. Hood walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Hood fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Schillaci, pushing him back against the cage. Hood drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Schillaci gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Schillaci manages to break the clinch.
Hood gets a takedown into half guard. Schillaci kicks Hood off and gets back to his feet. Good exchange - Schillaci coming out on top. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Schillaci looks to land a combination but Hood avoids it well. Hood gets a takedown into half guard. Hood slows the pace down in half guard. Schillaci is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schillaci kicks Hood off and gets back to his feet. Schillaci throws a right and a left that Hood avoids nicely. A head kick misses from Schillaci. Hood moves into the clinch successfully.
Hood goes for a takedown in the clinch but Schillaci prevents it.
David Schillaci has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Hood. Hood tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Schillaci just stands there and leans against the cage. Schillaci can't break the clinch.
Schillaci is trying to break the clinch but Hood has him pressed against the cage. Nice body punch from Schillaci - that landed with a thud.
Schillaci has had enough of the clinch but Hood keeps him there for the moment. Schillaci cracks Hood with a nice body shot. Schillaci is breathing heavily. Hood manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hood wants to stand up but Schillaci is controlling him. Schillaci gets to his feet. Hood looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Schillaci swinging wilding here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schillaci tries a head kick but it misses.
Schillaci misses with a few strikes there.
Hood shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hood showed some decent athleticism there. Hood frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Schillaci is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hood controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hood trying to control but Schillaci is having none of it. You get the feeling that Schillaci really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hood is working for a guillotine from mount but Schillaci frees his head quite easily.
Hood sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hood wants to control the pace but Schillaci is squirming around nicely. Schillaci is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Schillaci is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Hood has taken his back! Hood is landing with strikes from the back. Hood wants to control but Schillaci is keeping busy. Schillaci manages to stand up with Hood still on his back. Eventually Hood drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hood circles away from the clinch attempt.
Schillaci lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hood backs up against the cage.
Hood takes the fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that David Schillaci will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hood misses with a two punch combination.
Schillaci tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hood swats him away and circles back towards the center. Schillaci rushes Hood and presses him up against the cage. Hood tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Schillaci's elbow. Hood has Schillaci pressed against the cage, preventing Schillaci from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Schillaci breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Schillaci paws at him with a jab and circles away. Schillaci misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hood closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hood working over Schillaci with some ground and pound. Schillaci looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Schillaci is trying to stand up here but Hood is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hood lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hood is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hood is trying to control the action in half guard but Schillaci is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schillaci makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! A left and a right from Schillaci both land. Nice combination. Hood closes the distance and pushes Schillaci back into the cage. Schillaci tries to break free but Hood pushes him back against the cage. Schillaci is trying to force a seperation but Hood has the dominant position. Schillaci lands a body punch. Hood breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Schillaci misses with a double jab
and Hood decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Schillaci's guard. Schillaci is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Jay Hood has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Schillaci displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Hood pushes Schillaci up against the cage in a clinch. Schillaci pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hood looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Schillaci keeping moving, preventing Hood from controlling successfully. Schillaci wants to stand but Hood is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hood is looking to stand up but Schillaci won't let him. Hood prevents Schillaci from getting back to his feet. Schillaci pushes Hood off and gets back to his feet.
Schillaci lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hood at a distance.
Hood misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
David Schillaci is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Schillaci throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hood. Schillaci takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Schillaci throws a series of punches but Hood moves out of range. Schillaci doesn't manage to clinch there - Hood circles away.

David Schillaci is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hood fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hood shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Schillaci is trying to defend but Hood finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Schillaci wants to get back to his feet.
Hood is trying to control the action in half guard but Schillaci is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Schillaci tries to kick Hood off but Hood keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hood seems to be looking for submissions.
Schillaci is looking to get back to is feet but Hood passes into side control.
Schillaci is pushing Hood's head away, looking to escape. Hood manages to hold on to the position though. Hood trying to control the position but Schillaci is working away. Hood might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Schillaci kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Hood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Schillaci will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Schillaci misses with a double jab
and Hood counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Schillaci! Schillaci is trying to stand but he's just given Hood his back. Schillaci is trying to stand back up. Hood has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Schillaci's body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Schillaci trying to get back to his feet but Hood is in full control for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schillaci covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Schillaci is trying to get back to his feet but Hood has full control of the position and if anything, Schillaci has just worked his way into a worse spot. Hood tightening his grip on Schillaci, looking for the choke. Schillaci wants to get back to his feet. Schillaci trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hood lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Hood.

Schillaci is trying to get back to his feet but Hood has full control of the position and if anything, Schillaci has just worked his way into a worse spot. Schillaci defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hood's arms. Schillaci is trying to stand back up. What can Schillaci do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Schillaci wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hood is landing with strikes from the back. Schillaci manages to escape to his feet. Schillaci throws a sloppy head kick and Hood counters with a single leg into guard. Schillaci didn't expect that. Hood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schillaci swivels though and keeps the full guard. Schillaci wants to stand and escape but Hood is having none of it. Hood wants to control from the top but Schillaci keeps moving. Schillaci wants to stand up but Hood is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schillaci has his feet on Hood's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The fight stays on the outside here - Schillaci looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Schillaci takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Schillaci forces Hood back against the cage and clinches. Schillaci can't break the clinch.
Hood stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Schillaci scores with a nice hook to the head. Hood wants to stall.
Hood tries for a takedown. No joy.
Schillaci breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hood closes the distance and clinches.
And that's the end of the fight! Jay Hood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hood has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
