Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Man Ape (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marion Cobretti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cobretti has chosen Robert Tepper - Angel of the City as his entrance music. Man Ape has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Man Ape! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marion Cobretti! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cobretti tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ape paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ape scores with a one two! Cobretti had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Marion Cobretti has been cut. Ape fails to land with a series of punches.
Ape fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cobretti wants to clinch. Cobretti wants to clinch. Ape drops Cobretti with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cobretti looks back up at him and smiles so Ape waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Cobretti is rocked! The fight moves into the clinch position. Ape breaks the clinch.
Cobretti misses with a low kick. Cobretti moves into range and clinches up with Ape. Ape wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Cobretti throws an elbow that misses.
Ape dodges an elbow strike from Cobretti.
Cobretti lands an elbow inside that Ape shrugs off. Ape letting Cobretti take a breather here. Ape is trying to break the clinch but Cobretti has him pressed against the cage. Cobretti tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Cobretti trying to stall but Ape improves his position.
Ape blocks an elbow strike. Ape tries to circle away but Cobretti has him pinned against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cobretti misses with an elbow strike.
Ape wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cobretti has him pressed against the cage. Cobretti throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ape blocks it with crossed arms. Ape blocks an elbow strike from Cobretti.
Ape is looking to break free of the clinch but Cobretti has double underhooks. With the fighters up against the cage, Cobretti throws an elbow but misses. Ape dodges an elbow strike from Cobretti.

Cobretti with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Cobretti lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Man Ape has been cut. Cobretti prevents Ape from breaking the clinch. Ape on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Ape takes a knee to the side of the body. Ape is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Cobretti lands an elbow inside that Ape shrugs off. Ape has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Cobretti lands a nice elbow. Cobretti creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ape's defenses. Ape dodges an elbow strike from Cobretti.
Ape takes an elbow to the forehead. Cobretti is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ape is keeping busy. Ape dodges an elbow strike from Cobretti.
Cobretti missing with knees to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cobretti unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ape lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Ape is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A nice glancing elbow lands by Cobretti. Ape dodges an elbow strike from Cobretti.
Ape breaks from the clinch.
Ape lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cobretti circles away quickly and effectively. Cobretti throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Man Ape's cut is getting worse. Cobretti tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ape swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cobretti tries to clinch up. Cobretti thuds his shin into the meat of Ape's side. Cobretti lands a high kick to the side of Ape's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Cobretti dives into guard, looking to finish.
Ape is rocked!
Man Ape's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Ape utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Oh Ape is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Cobretti passes into half guard. Ape seems to have got his legs back now. Cobretti missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cobretti works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Cobretti there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Cobretti misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ape wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cobretti.
Cobretti punching from mount but Ape doing a good job of avoiding damage. Ape wants to get back to his feet.
Cobretti is landing with some decent strikes but Ape is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cobretti dominating with strikes here.
Jeez, Man Ape's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Man Ape's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Marion Cobretti!
