Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John McClaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devon Destroyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McClaine avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McClaine shoots in for a double leg but Destroyer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Devon Destroyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Destroyer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Destroyer stuffs the takedown.
Destroyer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

McClaine is going olschool here, as he tries to force Destroyer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Destroyer shrugs it off.

McClaine is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Destroyer is surviving well by controlling McClaine's body position as best he can.

McClaine moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Destroyer has worked his arm free - good work by Destroyer!
Destroyer is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

McClaine takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

McClaine tries for a takedown but Destroyer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Destroyer throws a combination. McClaine tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
McClaine shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

McClaine shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McClaine was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Destroyer is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

McClaine looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Destroyer tries to lock up and control but McClaine gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
McClaine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McClaine goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Destroyer turns into him and now he's in McClaine's guard.
McClaine is trying to control the position from the bottom.
McClaine has his hands on Destroyer's head, controlling the position.

McClaine is looking for a triangle here but Destroyer uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Destroyer stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Destroyer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Destroyer misses the shot to the body.
Destroyer looks to land a left hand but McClaine moved out of range nicely.
McClaine fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Destroyer avoids it really well and circles away.
McClaine changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Destroyer tries to avoid it but McClaine manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Destroyer to the ground. Destroyer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Devon Destroyer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McClaine wants to work for an arm triangle but Destroyer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McClaine wants to stand up but Destroyer has a hold of him and won't allow it.

McClaine is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

McClaine is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Destroyer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McClaine.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McClaine looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Destroyer scores with the left hand. McClaine knows he should have avoided that one.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McClaine is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Destroyer defends it well.

Devon Destroyer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John McClaine.
I think Destroyer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
