Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Snaps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Driscoll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Snaps! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Driscoll! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snaps shoots in for a double leg but Driscoll sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Driscoll scores with a hook to the body. Snaps takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Snaps could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Driscoll looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Snaps throws a half hearted mid kick. Driscoll clinches with his opponent.
Snaps tries to land knees in the clinch but Driscoll avoids the damage to the body. A frustrated look appears on Driscoll's face as he tries to break the clinch. Snaps wants a takedown but no success here.

Driscoll closes the distance and lands a one-two. Driscoll lands a jab. Driscoll with a jab. Driscoll thows a body shot but no joy. Driscoll tries to close the distance and clinch but Snaps swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Driscoll fails with an attempt to clinch.
Driscoll throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Snaps stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Snaps shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Driscoll as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Snaps. That's going to take a lot out of him. Driscoll doesn't manage to clinch there - Snaps circles away.
Driscoll tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Snaps paws at him with a jab and circles away. Driscoll wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Snaps gets the takedown into side control. Snaps content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Snaps trying to control the action but Driscoll is working from the bottom. Snaps is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snaps is looking to take a break and control but Driscoll is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Snaps creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Driscoll sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Driscoll is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Snaps asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Snaps stalls from top position. Driscoll pushes Snaps away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Snaps gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Snaps lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Snaps's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Snaps digs a right hand into Driscoll's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Driscoll's gas tank. Driscoll looks gassed! Snaps controlling the action here for a moment.

Snaps is trying to trip Driscoll. He has hold of a leg but Driscoll is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Snaps persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Snaps is stalling in the full guard. Snaps working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Driscoll's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Driscoll keeps the fight on the outside. Snaps shoots in and drives through. Driscoll sprawls well. Snaps takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A punch combination from Driscoll misses. A right-left combo lands from Driscoll. Driscoll ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Driscoll looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Snaps looks for a takedown but Driscoll sprawls well. Snaps takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Driscoll listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. No luck with that takedown attempt from Snaps. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Snaps. That's going to take a lot out of him. Driscoll darts in trying to clinch and Snaps counters with a shoot takedown. Driscoll fights it but they end up in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snaps throwing strikes but missing. Snaps stops Driscoll from standing up. Driscoll is breathing heavily. Driscoll keeping moving, preventing Snaps from controlling successfully. Snaps showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Snaps has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Snaps loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Snaps pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Driscoll is keeping the position for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Driscoll gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snaps to score an easy takedown into full guard. Snaps wants to control from the top but Driscoll keeps moving. Snaps advances position into side control! Snaps controls the position from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Driscoll can do anything to dispel that myth. Driscoll wants to get back to his feet. Snaps takes a little break here. Driscoll wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

He's got his arms around Driscoll's waist but Driscoll gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Snaps off to one side.
