Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Senen Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Senen Reyes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Senen Reyes! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reyes avoids it really well and circles away. Reyes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carter. Carter shoots in for a takedown but Reyes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Chris Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reyes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carter. Carter moves into the clinch. Carter is trying to trip Reyes. He has hold of a leg but Reyes is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Carter persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Reyes throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Carter escapes and throws Reyes's legs to the side, diving into side control! Carter scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Reyes to see if he's OK.
It looks like Senen Reyes has been cut. Reyes sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Carter seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reyes tries to roll over but Carter keeps him under control. Reyes looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Reyes manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Carter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Carter feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Reyes sprawling to the canvas! Reyes rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Carter finish him?!
Reyes is rocked!
That has opened up Senen Reyes's cut even more. Carter thows a left - swing and a miss! Carter scores with a body shot.
Reyes looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carter misses with a straight right. Carter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reyes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carter somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Reyes blocks a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Carter cracks Reyes with a solid left hand. Carter landing some decent shots from guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carter's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Reyes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Carter is looking to work some ground and pound but Reyes has wrist control. Carter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reyes looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Carter has picked Reyes up and slammed him! Reyes can't keep hold of the triangle and Carter manages to pass to side control! Carter creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter landing a few strikes.
The cut above Senen Reyes's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Reyes taking punishment in the form of punches.
Reyes manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Reyes seems to be looking for submissions.
Carter is pressing down on Reyes's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Reyes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Carter wriggles free and stands up. A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target. Carter misses with a hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter misses with an uppercut. Reyes saw that one coming. Carter throws out a loose jab but Reyes uses good head movement to avoid it. A big right from Carter misses. Reyes tries to clinch up and Carter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Senen Reyes's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Carter throws out a loose jab but Reyes uses good head movement to avoid it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carter misses with a looping left. Reyes closes the distance looking to clinch and Carter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Carter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Carter dominated that round. The cut man is working on Senen Reyes's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Reyes tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Carter counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Reyes to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Carter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Chris Carter!
