Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brooklyn Harmony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Maramot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harmony's entrance music is Human by The Killers. A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Randy Maramot was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brooklyn Harmony! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Maramot! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harmony feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Harmony tries to free his leg and advance position but Maramot is retaining full guard. Maramot preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Maramot keeping moving, preventing Harmony from controlling successfully. Maramot wants to get back to his feet but Harmony is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Maramot utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harmony trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Maramot manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Maramot has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Harmony is proving hard to escape from.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Harmony scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Harmony wants to free his trapped foot but Maramot is holding on for dear life with his legs. Maramot keeping hold of Harmony's head, controlling as best he can. Maramot won't allow Harmony to pass to mount. Harmony is working for a kimura but Maramot is defending it quite comfortably.
Harmony thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Maramot's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Maramot misses with a looping right. Maramot gets caught flat footed, as Harmony shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Harmony throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Harmony throws a big right hand that misses. Harmony drops back, looking for a kneebar! Maramot looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Maramot looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Maramot! Harmony is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Harmony sneaks back into half guard. Harmony tries to get to full guard but Maramot has control of the leg. Maramot trying to control the action but Harmony is working from the bottom. Maramot slows the pace down in half guard. Harmony is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Maramot's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Maramot's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Harmony is persistently looking for the submission but Maramot is defending it well.
Harmony struggling to land strikes to the head as Maramot covers up. Harmony somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Harmony is working the ground and pound. Can Maramot escape? Harmony misses with punches from the back. Maramot avoids the strikes from Harmony. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brooklyn Harmony dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Harmony tests Maramot's chin there with a solid looking shot. Harmony lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Maramot ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harmony moves away. Harmony shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Maramot is trying to defend but Harmony finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Harmony wants to work for an arm triangle but Maramot is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Harmony seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Maramot does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Harmony lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Harmony works his way into side control. Maramot is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maramot avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Harmony. Harmony scoring with punches from side control. Harmony lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Maramot down.
Harmony wants to control but Maramot is keeping him busy. Harmony working the head and body with strikes. Harmony lands a few punches from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harmony trying to control the position but Maramot is working away. Harmony is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Maramot knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Harmony working the ground and pound from side control. Harmony swings around for an armbar but Maramot sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Harmony's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harmony looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Harmony is working hard here to advance position. Harmony can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Maramot controls the pace. Harmony looking for a sweep. Not yet Harmony, not yet. Harmony tries to strike from the bottom.

Harmony wants to improve his position but instead Maramot has moved into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Harmony moves into full guard.
Harmony wants to sweep here but Maramot controlling him for the moment. Harmony has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Harmony is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Harmony lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Maramot! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brooklyn Harmony dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Harmony wants to pass to mount but Maramot is defending the position. Harmony throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Harmony thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Harmony controlling the action here. Harmony thows a huge punch but Maramot dodges it nicely.
Brooklyn Harmony overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Harmony is pressing down on Maramot's thigh, looking to free his foot. Maramot is holding on for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Maramot moves in looking to clinch but Harmony pushes him off. Harmony swats away the attempt to clinch by Maramot. Harmony shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Maramot sprawls well. Maramot wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Harmony gets slowly back to his feet. Brooklyn Harmony is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Maramot connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Harmony ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Harmony avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Harmony counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Harmony changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Maramot looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Harmony working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harmony is looking to take a break and control but Maramot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Randy Maramot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Harmony tries to move into full mount but can't pass Maramot's legs. Harmony working the head with strikes. Brooklyn Harmony is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Brooklyn Harmony showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harmony, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
