The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Thyme ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hicks moves away.
Hicks uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Thyme.
Thyme closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Thyme lands in his opponent's guard.
Thyme stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Hicks throws up his legs and catches Thyme in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Thyme tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Hicks! That came out of nowhere!
