Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexandre Rivet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Artur Lima! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lima. Rivet is looking to clinch but Lima is avoiding it.
Lima circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rivet moves in looking to clinch but Lima pushes him off. Rivet misses with a series of wild punches.

Rivet tries to close the distance and clinch but Lima swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rivet lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Artur Lima has been cut. Lima drives through with a takedown into guard. Lima not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rivet throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Rivet on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rivet tries to get out of the position. Lima stays in close to Rivet's body and controls the position. I looks like Lima might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Rivet is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lima controls from within his opponent's guard. Rivet wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Lima manages to pass to side control. Rivet trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lima wants to take a breather but Rivet is having none of it. Rivet is looking to escape. Lima is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Rivet is trying desperately to improve position. Lima controlling from mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rivet has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lima working for a choke but Rivet is defending well. Lima looks gassed! Lima has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Rivet is defending well but eventually Lima manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Rivet has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
