The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Out bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Out postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Shields stops Out from passing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Out prevents Shields from escaping the position.
Out working the strikes but Shields uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Out decides to return to a standing position.
Out swats away the attempt to clinch by Shields.
Shields throws a head kick that misses.
Out closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shields circles away.

and Shields holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Out lands with a light punch inside.
Out has had enough of the clinch but Shields keeps him there for the moment.
Out has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Shields avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Out is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shields pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Knock Out. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Out is breathing heavily.
Shields lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Shields is looking to control Out's arms but Out gets an underhook and turns him. Now Shields has his back to the cage.
Shields prevents the takedown attempt.
Out takes a knee right on the jaw!

Out is rocked!

Oh Out is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shields connects with a nasty looking knee right to Out's face.
Shields lands a big knee to the head and Out goes down! Shields pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
