Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eldridge Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laggum Vane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vane has chosen No Rest for the Wicked as his entrance music. Laggum Vane acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eldridge Bronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Laggum Vane!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson slips a jab and a cross from Vane.
Vane misses with the combination.

Bronson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vane was covering up waiting for the punch and Bronson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Bronson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bronson works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Bronson is keen to just control but Vane is a slippery customer.

Bronson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bronson tries to free his leg and advance position but Vane is retaining full guard.
Vane keeping moving, preventing Bronson from controlling successfully.
Vane wants to get back to his feet but Bronson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bronson throwing strikes from guard but Vane blocks nicely.

Bronson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vane is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bronson, into his guard.

Vane stops Bronson from standing up.
Vane trying to control but Bronson is working from the bottom.
Bronson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bronson wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bronson blocks a head kick by Vane.

Vane closes the distance and pushes Bronson back into the cage.
Vane with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Bronson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A frustrated look appears on Bronson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Vane prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Vane lands a takedown into guard.
Vane looks gassed!
Vane won't allow Bronson to sweep him here.
Bronson keeping moving, preventing Vane from controlling successfully.
Bronson has Vane pulled in close to control his posture.
Vane preventing the sweep.
Vane throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vane is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Vane just misses with a punch to the body.
Vane throws a right hand that Bronson ducks under and follows up with a left that Bronson also avoids with ease.

Vane gets caught flat footed, as Bronson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bronson throws a strike but Vane rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Bronson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bronson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bronson is looking to stand up but Vane isn't so interested in that idea.
Vane postures up in Bronson's guard and throws a big left but Bronson blocks it.

Bronson wriggles free and stands up.
Vane is breathing heavily.
Vane rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bronson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vane misses with an uppercut.
Bronson dodges the punch combination from Vane.

Bronson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Vane prevents Bronson from improving position.

Bronson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Vane to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vane throws a series of punches but Bronson avoids them all with ease.
Vane misses with a hook. Bronson ducked under it nicely.

Bronson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bronson cracks Vane with a big elbow.
Vane on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Bronson tries for a kimura but Vane is defending well.

Vane throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bronson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vane napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Bronson throws an elbow but Vane slips to the side and avoids it well.
Bronson trying to control the action but Vane is working from the bottom.
Vane parries the strikes from Bronson easily there. Bronson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Vane to escape.

Bronson is trying to get an arm triangle but Vane is defending well.
Vane is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Eldridge Bronson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bronson laying and praying for a moment but Vane takes advantage and regains half guard.
Bronson trying to control the action but Vane is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eldridge Bronson dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Vane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vane misses with a head kick.
Bronson shoots in for a double leg but Vane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Vane gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bronson throws a big right hand that misses.
Bronson wants to pass the guard but Vane is keeping the position.
Bronson won't allow Vane to get back to his feet.
Bronson pushing down on Vane's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bronson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Vane controls his leg.
Vane is looking to escape.

Bronson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Vane sees it coming and defends easily.

Vane manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Vane tries to bum rush Bronson with a series of wild strikes but Bronson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bronson fails to land the takedown.
Vane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Vane rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bronson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bronson instigates a clinch.
Bronson looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eldridge Bronson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vane has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bronson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Bronson wants to escape the position.
Vane not allowing Bronson to control his hands.
Vane slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Bronson is trying to get back to his feet but Vane has full control of the position and if anything, Bronson has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Bronson prevents Vane from getting a body triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vane throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Bronson!
Will Vane go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Bronson is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Bronson avoids the strikes from Vane.
Vane trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bronson trying to get back to his feet but Vane is in full control for now.
A lull in the action here.
Bronson manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Vane is now in side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vane throws a sloppy head kick and Bronson moves out of range easily.

Bronson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Laggum Vane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bronson gets to his feet. Vane looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Eldridge Bronson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Vane misses with an uppercut. Bronson saw that one coming.
A right-left combo lands from Bronson.

And that's the end of the fight!
Eldridge Bronson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bronson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
