Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Stann.
Marques pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Stann knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marques on the ground.
Stann is looking to stand up but Marques isn't so interested in that idea.
Marques is fighting to break Stann's control of his arms but Stann is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Stann shoots in looking for a takedown. Marques tries to sprawl out of it but Stann keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marques manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stann cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Marques is squirming around, avoiding Stann's attempts to control the action.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stann connects with a nice short shot to Marques's temple.

Stann lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Stann stalks Marques and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Marques's face. Marques staggers backwards, shaken.
Nino Marques has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Stann shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Marques is trying to defend but Stann finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well Stann has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
