Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jhonny Ippo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ezio Auditore !
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ippo slaps away a takedown attempt from Auditore , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Some wild striking there from Ippo.
Auditore shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ippo defends it nicely.
Auditore looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ippo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Auditore .
Jhonny Ippo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ezio Auditore .
Auditore misses the shot to the body.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
A short right from Auditore .
Ippo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Auditore s head.
It looks like Ezio Auditore has been cut.
Auditore breaks the clinch.
Auditore tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ippo tries to clinch up but Auditore circles away and keeps his distance.
Auditore shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ippo as he jumps to the side.
Ippo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Auditore slips a jab and a cross from Ippo.
Ippo swinging wilding here.
Ippo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Auditore looks gassed!
Ippo closes the distance and clinches.
Ippo breaks the clinch.
Ippo lands an overhand right.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ippo drives through and clinches with Auditore against the cage.
Ippo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ippo throws a right and a left that Auditore avoids nicely.
Ippo clinches.
Ippo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ippo darts in and clinches Auditore up against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Ippo.
Ippo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ippo connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Auditore tumbling to the canvas! Ippo pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Auditore was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jhonny Ippo!
