Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taisto Kovakanki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itachi Kowashaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taisto Kovakanki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Itachi Kowashaki!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowashaki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kovakanki as he jumps to the side.
Kowashaki looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kowashaki misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kowashaki gets caught flat footed, as Kovakanki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kovakanki gets to his feet - Kowashaki follows without any prompting.

Kovakanki darts in and clinches Kowashaki up against the cage.
Kovakanki wants to get back to striking at distance but Kowashaki won't allow it.
Kovakanki could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kovakanki jumps into guard, dragging Kowashaki to the mat.
Kovakanki tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Kovakanki pushes Kowashaki off and scrambles back to his feet.
Kovakanki tries a head kick but it misses.

Kovakanki rushes Kowashaki and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kovakanki goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kowashaki prevents it.

Kowashaki jumps guard.
Kowashaki is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kowashaki can't keep his opponent in guard - Kovakanki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Kowashaki pushes Kovakanki off looking to stand but Kovakanki dives back in and keeps control.
Kowashaki avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kovakanki.
Kovakanki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kowashaki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kovakanki content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Kovakanki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kovakanki wants the takedown. Kowashaki is fighting it off but Kovakanki persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kowashaki's guard against the cage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kowashaki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kovakanki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kovakanki looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Kowashaki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kowashaki tries to kick Kovakanki off but Kovakanki keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Kovakanki is working for a kimura but Kowashaki is defending it quite comfortably.
Kowashaki tries to roll over but Kovakanki keeps him under control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kowashaki wants to control but Kovakanki is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kowashaki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kowashaki showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kovakanki is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Kovakanki's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
