Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Sato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ash Ketchum! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ketchum closes the distance and clinches up with Sato, looking for a takedown. Ketchum pushes Sato against the cage but Sato circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ketchum keeps the fight on the outside. Sato is looking to clinch but Ketchum is avoiding it.
Sato tries to clinch up but Ketchum circles away and keeps his distance. Sato is looking to clinch. Sato tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ketchum swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ketchum misses with a kick to the body.

Ketchum throws a right and a left that both miss. Ketchum rushes Sato and presses him up against the cage. Sato being controlled against the cage. Sato keeps control of Ketchum as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sato takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Ketchum is working for takedown but Sato is calmly controlling the position for now. Ketchum wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ketchum jumps guard but Sato stands there with Ketchum around his waist. Ketchum gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ketchum drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sato pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sato darts in trying to clinch letting Ketchum counter with a right hand. Ketchum circles away from the clinch attempt and Ketchum counters with a head kick. Sato clinches but Ketchum breaks the clinch letting Ketchum counter with a right hand. Sato darts in trying to clinch and Ketchum counters with a nice double leg into guard. Sato knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ketchum on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sato wants to sweep here but Ketchum controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ketchum stands up and waves to Sato to follow him. Sato on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Sato tries to clinch and Ketchum counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sato! Sato wants to control but Ketchum is having none of it. Ketchum cracks Sato with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ketchum wants to control the pace but Sato is squirming around nicely. Sato is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ketchum working away from the top, dropping strikes. Ketchum punching from mount but Sato doing a good job of avoiding damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ash Ketchum dominated that round. That's time! Sato's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sato darts in trying to clinch and Ketchum counters with a head kick. Sato tries to clinch up and Ketchum counters by clinching up. Ketchum is working for takedown but Sato is calmly controlling the position for now. Ketchum tries to circle away but Sato has him pinned against the cage. Sato crunches a lovely knee into Ketchum's ribcage. Sato lands a knee to the body.

It looks like Ash Ketchum has been cut. Sato looking for a takedown. Sato gets control of Ketchum's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sato will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Ketchum prevents Sato from getting back to his feet. Ketchum decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Ketchum with that takedown attempt. Sato tries to clinch and Ketchum counters by moving into the clinch. Sato lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Sato avoids a wild elbow strike from Ketchum. Sato lands an elbow that stopped Ketchum in his tracks for a moment. Sato landing knees to the body.

Sato throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ketchum blocks it with crossed arms. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Ketchum as Sato tries to tie him up. Ketchum wants a takedown.

Sato slowing the pace effectively. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Sato as Ketchum tries to tie him up. Ketchum pulls guard. Sato pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ketchum is keeping the position for now. Ketchum tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sato has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ketchum is proving hard to escape from. Ketchum working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sato doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sato manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ketchum wants to get back to his feet but Sato is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ketchum controls Sato momentarily but Sato frees himself. Sato has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sato wants to stand but Ketchum has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ketchum wants to stand up but Sato is controlling him.
And that's the end of the fight! Takashi Sato showed his dominance in that final round. I think Sato has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
