Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig Pollard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khru Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kang has chosen Goldberg Entrance Theme by WCW as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Craig Pollard has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Craig Pollard seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Craig Pollard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Khru Kang! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kang fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pollard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A bone on bone clash there as Pollard blocks the leg kick.
Kang shoots for a double leg takedown but Pollard sprawls well. He's pushed Kang's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kang misses with a low kick.
Pollard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kang ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pollard moves away. Kang shoots for a takedown but Pollard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pollard as he jumps to the side. Craig Pollard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khru Kang. Kang takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Pollard throws a strike aimed at the side of Kang's head but Kang avoids it well. Kang is working to avoid the ground and pound but Pollard connects with a decent elbow. Pollard tries for a kimura but Kang is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kang is trying to control Pollard's posture but Pollard avoids it. Kang managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Pollard.

Kang has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pollard avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Pollard on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kang drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pollard pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kang gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pollard counters with an inside leg kick. Craig Pollard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khru Kang. Kang shoots and misses and Pollard counters with a body kick that stops Kang in his tracks momentarily. The crowd cheers as Pollard lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kang doesn't seem phased though. Pollard misses with a looping left. Pollard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pollard lands in his opponent's guard. Pollard trying to control the position from guard on top but Kang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kang avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pollard in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pollard with a nice head shot there. Kang pulls Pollard in to control the position. Kang working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pollard. Kang utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pollard preventing the sweep. Kang not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pollard cracks Kang with a big elbow. Kang takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Pollard creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Kang takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Kang is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Pollard is controlling him well. Kang is looking for a sweep. Pollard thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pollard lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kang down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Craig Pollard will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Craig Pollard's cut. Craig Pollard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kang has his takedown stuffed and Pollard counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Pollard has Kang up against the cage in a clinch.

Pollard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pollard throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pollard postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pollard has gone for a leg lock! Kang slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pollard's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pollard is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kang looking for submissions off his back. Ground and pound from Pollard. Pollard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Pollard moves nicely into side control. Pollard looking to control but instead Kang has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Pollard is trying to control the action in half guard but Kang is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pollard missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Craig Pollard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kang is concentrating on defense, preventing Pollard from advancing position. Pollard throws a strike but Kang avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Kang is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Pollard missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Pollard works a leg free and moves into half guard. Pollard tries to pass to full mount but Kang defends it. Kang is trying to stand up here but Pollard is controlling him well. Pollard is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pollard prevents Kang from standing back up.
Kang moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Pollard throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Pollard in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pollard wants to pass the guard but Kang is keeping the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kang showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pollard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Pollard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And that's the end of the fight! Craig Pollard showed his dominance in that final round. I think Pollard has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
