Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Irving (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elijah Carr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Irving!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elijah Carr!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irving steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Carr. That one must have hurt.
Nice body kick from Carr.
A nice leg kick lands there from Carr.
Carr swinging wilding here.
Irving tries to clinch up but Carr circles away and keeps his distance.
Carr works over Irving's head and body with a nice combination.
Carr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Irving moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Carr looks to land a combination but Irving avoids it well.
Irving tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carr swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Carr circles away from the clinch attempt.
Irving chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Carr can pounce on him.
Irving shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carr pinned against the cage. Carr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Irving slips a jab and a cross from Carr.
Irving closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carr circles away.
Carr misses with a double jab.
Carr swinging wilding here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Carr rushes Irving and presses him up against the cage.
Irving wants to stall.
Carr with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Carr lands an elbow inside.
Carr blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Irving throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Carrs head.

Irving pulls guard effortlessly.

Irving looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Irving trying to control the position.
Carr trying to control the position from guard on top but Irving is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Irving knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carr on the ground.
Carr working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Irving's head.
Carr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Carr sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Irving's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Irving keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Still in half guard, Carr seems content to control.
Irving missing with punches from the bottom.
Irving on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Irving tries to get out of the position.
Irving is breathing heavily.
Carr prevents Irving from standing back up.
Irving wants to control but Carr is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Carr working the head and body with strikes.
Still in half guard, Carr seems content to control.
Carr prevents Irving from improving his position.
Irving is trying to maintain the position but Carr is very close to passing his half guard.

Irving trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
BOOM! Carr connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Carr working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Carr looking to control but Irving is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Carr is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Irving can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Carr has isolated one of Irving's arms. Irving looking to fight him off but Carr twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
