The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands the left hand.

It looks like Mark Diaz has been cut.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.
Jones scores with a shot to the body.

Diaz clinches with his opponent.

Diaz wants the takedown. Jones is fighting it off but Diaz persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jones's guard against the cage.
Diaz is breathing heavily.
Diaz trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
Diaz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Diaz stops Jones from standing up.
Diaz is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Jones wants to stand but Diaz is controlling the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Jones drops Diaz with a beautiful combination! Diaz stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jones is looking for the KO!

Diaz is rocked!
Diaz is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Jones doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Diaz crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Diaz's bad books for that mishap!
